Worlds At War
The Basics:
Brand: DC
Name: Zinda Blake
Alias: Lady Blackhawk
Affiliation: She is anti-registration for the moment but she hasn't completely made her mind up either. It's uncertain at this point which side of the act she will fall on. The Birds of Prey
Age:78. Thanks to the event referred to as Zero Hour when she was pulled through time, she looks like she's 28.
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Straight
The Cameras Are Easy To Fool
Appearance
Tall, trim, lean and in excellent physical condition, Zinda is at least a 9 on the beauty scale. Her Blond hair is always well groomed and her fair complexion is blemish free. She does her fair share of makeup but never overdoes it. Her style of attire is preferably casual whenever she isn't on duty. When she is on the clock, she is decked out in her traditional, dress blue, Blackhawk outfit. Exactly the same as the types worn by the other Blackhawks back in the day, except that hers comes with a skirt, naturally.
She can and does dress up periodically when not in uniform, but only when it's in her best interests. Formal clothing and gatherings aren't necessarily her thing as she prefers a barroom and a dance floor in exchange for a fancy ball room. However if it's for a good cause, she can be persuaded to go against the grain from time to time.

Avengers Assemble!
Strengths
Tough as nails for someone with no powers
Loyal to the death
Almost always positive to the sunny side
Has red, white, and blue flowing through her veins
Virtually fearless and extremely stubborn when she's made up her mind about something.

Tell them they're already dead, they just haven't fallen down yet!
Weaknesses
Can be a bit too reckless on occasion
Relies too much on weaponry at times
has a severe weakness to mind control, perhaps the only thing she is truly afraid of.
Has a dark alter ego named Queen Killer Shark that she tries very hard to forget, but one that a criminal fruitcake known as Killer Shark likes to exploit on occasion through the use of drugs or whatever means necessary.
Has a bad habit of charging first and asking questions later.
A fish out of water, Zinda can still be naive at times concerning this modern era with all it's attitudes and customs. Old fashioned to a fault.

It'll all come out in the wash Cap.
Personality
Born in 1930 & orphaned at the age of 10, Zinda was taken in and looked after by friends of her late parents who also were both soldiers, thus exposing her to the life she was destined for, fight for and make history with later in life. Zinda Blake grew up strong, tough and with a no B.S. attitude that spoke volumes about her heart and her insistence to one day become the first female member of an elite new fighting force; a division known as The Blackhawks.
She bleeds Red, White, and Blue through and through and will just as soon make anyone saying bad about her country spit those very same teeth. Tough, Loyal, determined, her experiences sustained through the military school of hard knocks helped her grow up in a hurry. Although she missed her parents, her new foster parents and the surrogate family of soldiers she rapidly grew to adulthood among filled the bill quite snugly.
On the lighter side of life, Zinda is a fun-loving party animal when not on the clock with a free spirit miles wide and deep that can barely be contained. She's a rebel rouser and a lover of the fermented grape. 6 feet of passion in combat boots, but when the call to arms is sounded, she always rises to the challenge.
Awaking to this brand new era is a culture shock though. She's a woman out of time and out of place but like she has so many times in the past, she'll either rise to meet the challenge or kick the daylights out of it. Not one to sit around and mope or feel sorry for herself, Zinda is almost always on the upbeat, sunny side. It takes alot to get her riled. Unless of course, she spots someone else's fingerprints on her beer bottles without permission. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Old Ghosts
History
From the time her parents died in a tragic fire, even before then, Zinda Blake never exactly grew up in the lap of luxury, but she never knew poverty either. That doesn't mean she didn't have to grow up in a major hurry. She knew what she wanted and she was hell bent on meeting her goal...and she did. In 1950, Zinda Blake shook her fist at all her skeptics and naysayers who repeatedly told her it would never happen She did what they said couldn't be done and become the first female member of the elite Air Force division known as the Blackhawk Squadron. Zinda Blake became Lady Blackhawk and for 7 tumultuous but fun filled, adventurous years she became not just the best female Blackhawk, but one of THE best Blackhawks ever. And then it happened. Out of nowhere she was ripped from her time and dropped off decades later thanks to Zero hour where she first met and formed a partnership of sorts with Guy Gardner.
Not long afterward she was encountered for the first time by the Black Canary, who on behalf of Oracle, invited her to join her team of all female agents to which Zinda quickly accepted with the agreement that when she is in the cockpit of Aerie One she does things her way. Now as a full fledged member, Zinda serves as the team's pilot, chauffeur and "jack of all trades" although recently thanks to the shift and merging of different earth's, she finds herself weighing the pro's and con's of the registration act. The next decision she makes, between her love of country and loyalty to her new family, will no doubt be the biggest decision of her life.

Yeah well at least I know I'd pick Superman as a running buddy instead of my bullet-riddled ass.
Powers, abilities, skills, and etc.
Zinda isn't a meta. therefore she she has no powers. As far as abilities go however, She's stacked with them. If it has wheels, she can drive it. If it has wings, or a propeller, she can fly it. She's just that good. She's also a quick learner. Lady Blackhawk is an excellent markswoman, adept with virtually every kind of weapon. She's pretty decent with her fists as well, a superb hand to hand combatant. An excellent cook also, she enjoys doing a great share of it for her teammates when she isn't rushing to her next mission.
Zinda has an arsenal of artillery stocked in a secret stash. She also owns Aerie one, the birds private plane, Aerie Two, a high-tech helicopter, as well as an armor plated limousine, and a motorcycle as well as a fire engine red corvette. The latter two for her personal use mostly.
Oh did I mention? The lady can also order beer in 30 different languages. In addition, she also makes a decent mechanic, she can fix virtually anything with an engine in it.

I swear after midnight New York turns into a bad Joel Silver movie.

Sweating lightly and cursing profusely, not in a quiet way either, was Zinda Blake, aka Lady Blackhawk as she ran up the stairs inside Wayne Enterprises while on her way to the roof thereof. The stares she drew were many but this ace pilot and expert pilot shrugged them off as she drew closer to what would now be a takeoff point. Besides, Oracle assured her the owner of this very building was the understanding sort.
"Good enough for me." Zinda swore to herself, an overgrown case that closely resembled a bodybag in her right hand, and a strap around her neck, the high powered shotgun it attached to slung over her back.
"Zinda, where are you?!?! Huntress said you dropped off her radar, i'm not picking you up either. Are you ok?"
"Roger that, skipper. The limo i spent most of the night re-enforcing the armored plating on overheated when it hit 70. Implementing plan B, preparing for lift-off now. I'll be back on the suckers before you draw your next breath." Lady Blackhawk vowed, now on the roof even as she spoke, and assembling a hang-glider in record time...beating her old mark by 2.9 seconds. A major feat in and of itself, considering how long it's been since she went airborne without an engine. A running start and a flying leap later, and the official pilot, chauffeur, mechanic, jack of all trades even was ascending; soaring across the clouds in hot pursuit.
"I'm a pilot, I'm ok. I drink all night and I fly all day..." Her melodic tones sang out as she picked up the trail of the mob boss Oracle wanted taken down. Actually, it was more Huntress wanting this mission, and with nothing else on the front burners for the time being, Oracle caved in quite easily. Zinda knew Helena could have easily handled it herself, but this ace of aviation had been sitting around far too long today watching the walls melt. Damn, drug pushing, jacked off apes. One of these days I need to start engraving my hardware so they'll have something to remember me by when the doc's pull the shrapnel out of their carcasses. Zinda sneered behind her full set of sparkling, pearly whites descending once again and landing on top of the roof of the Rolls Royce the mob boss screeched to a halt once Helena pulled her bike to a stop in front of them, successfully cutting them off with her crossbow aimed for the windshield. Zinda herself was slamming her boots down on the roof after shedding her glider, firing a 21 shot warning into the spacious sky.
"Reach for the sky, boys. Any excessive moves will quite effectively spoil the pleasant demeanor and sunny disposition my sister wielding the crossbow aimed at your heads is currently sporting. In other words, I'd hit the ground praying...face first, sleazeballs
