So this was it. The deadline. Roy sat perched on the rubble outside of what was once the Star City Library surveying the rebuilding process and wondering just how long that rebuilding process would last. Not so that it was done but more so that it would have to start again. Roy was being a pessimist he knew and thinking that Star City would play host to any kind of superhuman brawl was more morbid then he preferred to be but in situations such as this it was simply best for him to hope for the worse. Really Star City was only home to the Arrow Family but that didn't mean that they wouldn't throw whoever they could at them when they came. They needed to get out of here if only so that the citizens didn't suffer. That was the last thing that needed to happen here. Right now though Roy was just going to wait it out. If it was a fight they wanted they would get it just not from the rest of the Arrow family. Roy was going to handle this one on his own he just hoped they sent someone he could match up with.
It wasn't that he didn't think he could take whoever they sent but more so that he preferred they send someone that he could walk away from in one piece. Roy wasn't happy about the fact that anyone had to stay but him and Ollie had both decided that someone had to be here. Someone had to tell them exactly what was wrong with this stupid Act and just where they could shove it. It wasn't pleasant or for that matter all that noble of a job but Roy had decided it'd be for the best if Ollie stayed with the kids at least then he could be sure they'd be safe. It wasn't that he didn't think he could have handled them or for that matter that Conner and the rest couldn't carry their own weight but they all knew Ollie better then they knew him. That and Roy was better then Ollie, he was almost sure of it, and for that reason he would be the one to meet whoever these Anti-Registration idiots sent for him. Well they weren't all idiots but the ones who had brought the act to New Earth sure as hell were.
Maybe that was why he was hanging around more then anything else? Maybe because in reality he wanted to put these new idiots through some paces if he got a chance. Roy didn't like to think he was looking for trouble but he knew that tonight he was and in a few hours he'd have it. All he had to do was simply wait and try to keep a clear head about all this. Whoever was going to show up Roy would be able to take them with ease. No he shouldn't say that he shouldn't get too over confident about this or for that matter that they'd send someone easy. He wasn't exactly one of the most powerful but Roy sure as hell hoped that the Arrow name commanded some kind of respect. Crouching Roy notched and arrow in his bow and waited taking in a last look of Star City. It very well could be the last for a while and maybe just maybe he'd be lucky enough to catch one of the old foes to warm him up. Roy had a feeling that such luck wouldn't be with him tonight, he'd just have to wait for whoever came for him. Roy Harper couldn't wait. It wasn't a mystery where she was heading or why as silver skinned model, former Teen Titan, half-alien superhero Argent rode aboard a chopper piloted by one of the bigwigs in the upper echelon of the whole pro registration camp. Toni didn't even know the pilot's name but that was the least of her concerns while she continued riding amidst the overcast, dark, late evening skies leading past and into the Star City limits. It had only been a few days ago when Toni conceded and surrendered to the government and all it's pro-registration forces. It was the right thing to do and beside that, there was no way she could stay hidden indefinitely, Silver skin and half alien d.na. do not mix well with the scenery when you're on the run.
She signed up because she chose to in the end, but it's not like she was comfortable with what she had to do now. Biting her nails as anxiety over the confrontation about to unfold flooded her senses, she had her mind made up she wouldn't back down despite how much she cared about Roy, despite all the times he's been there for her when she needed him and despite how hot she'd always found him. There was always Cheshire...or Donna or someone else in the way to keep Toni from reaching his first base.
That was drama for another time though. Love is love, teammates are teammates, friendship is friendship.
And business is business. Yeah. You just keep telling yourself that, girl, and watch any shot you ever would have had with him blow out your chimney like so much smoke and ashes. She told herself, both hands glowing with silver plasma energy she hoped she wouldn't have to use when Roy Harper gives in and comes quietly to changes sides. White whales and killer sharks have been known to sprout legs and walk on land to before, haven't they?
Soon after, the whirlybird touched down and her silver toned, black costumed body could be seen stepping out. A frown on her face, but her game face was on too as she crossed her arms and looked around.
"I know you're hiding in the rubble here somewhere, Roy. There are others on the way. Don't make this harder on either of us than it has to be."

Maybe it was stupid of him to come out on his own like this? Sure Roy didn't really think so himself but others could think that it was and maybe they'd be right. Wouldn't it have been for the best to simply cut and run? Staying with Lian and protecting her was the top priority here Roy knew but he also knew some things had to be done. They didn't need to be done by him but he wanted to do them. Sighing Roy debated relaxing or even moving around a bit until someone showed up if they actually did. Well he knew they'd send someone there wasn't a whole lot of doubt as far as that went. Who they would actually send though was completely up for debate and something that Roy didn't have time to think about. Well he did have time but he didn't think it was exactly the best idea to do so while he was waiting. Deciding that he should remain where he was for the moment Roy turned his mind to other more important things. Well it was actually the same thing he had been wondering just moments before. Who the hell were they going to send?
Roy didn't merit a visit from Supes and even if Ollie had stuck around he doubted that he would either. Not that they weren't important enough but from what he understood Captain Marvel wasn't going to sign up with this act either and the World's Mightiest Mortal deserved that kind of attention far more then the Arrow Family did. Of course that didn't mean Roy hadn't prepared himself although that had taken a little more doing then expected. Breaking down one of his remaining kryptonite bullets Roy had turned what had been encased with in the shell into an arrow. Not that it would stop Supes in his track, well it might but Roy wasn't banking on it, but it would slow him up enough for Roy to say his piece and then split. Besides Roy wasn't in it to take the Man of Steel or for that matter whoever they sent out. He was just going to have his say and then be on his way. Turning it over it still made sense for them to send someone from the other side. After all what kind of strategic maneuver was it to send someone whose abilities he knew.
Roy didn't have much more time to think about that as he got his answer as to just what kind of maneuver it was. Hearing her voice Roy stood bow in hand and that arrow that was notched dangling loosely from it's string. They set a Titan. It was foul play to say the least and the kind that Roy wasn't exactly all that high on at the moment. They had the advantage all along and the fact that it had taken him this long to see it was rather pitiful in his opinion. What was even worse was that they had sent someone he had ties to. It was almost as bad as sending someone like Dick after Bats. Well it wasn't that bad but still this was someone who had been his teammate at one point. Sighing Roy quirked a brow at the last bit of her statement and decided now was probably the best time to talk. "Who are these others exactly? More old teammates or just people I know casually? No offense either Toni but this isn't hard on me at all but I think that's more so because I'm doing what's right."
The last part was a blatant lie Roy knew this but that didn't mean he was going to admit it. If anything he wasn't going to let the weakness they were trying to expose be shown. That didn't mean he was going to take the first shot or for that matter try and throw fists with her just yet but it didn't mean that he wouldn't do so at all. Roy was biding his time and hoping he could talk his way out of this one. If not then he'd just do what he had to do and hope that Toni couldn't beat him. No she wouldn't beat him he wouldn't let that happen because at the end of the day he still needed to go home and see Lian. Well not home but that was besides the point. The point was he was going to be walking away from this and not off to some prison because he wouldn't give up who he was to the government. That was the point.
